A top-level domain is what comes immediately to the right of the dot in internet addressing (ex., .MOI, .COM, .NET, .ORG).

What’s a Second Level Domain (SLD) or “domain name”?

A second level domain (SLD), or what most people call a ‘domain name’, is to the left of the dot (ex., ‘amazon’ in amazon.com) in Internet addressing. Domain names are registered through accredited registrars.

A registrant is an individual or entity that has registered a domain name.

.MOI is a new generic top level domain (gTLD) intended for French speakers and French culture-related content.

What is a limited registration period?

A limited registration period (“LRP”) is when some registrants get early access to a TLD based on pre-defined criteria. Not all TLDs will offer an LRP and Amazon LRP’s may vary by TLD.

How do I prove I qualify to register a domain name in the .MOI TLD?

For the .MOI Limited Registration Period (“LRP”), you must indicate your presence in the relevant LRP location for that period, as indicated on NIC.MOI. We reserve the right to review the domain names registered and if an independent audit shows that you do not actually live where you claim to live, we can delete the domain name, based on our Acceptable Use Policy.

Do I have to use my .MOI TLD domain name for a specific purpose?

No. We want you to use your new .MOI domain name to express yourself! Our Acceptable Use Policy lists the things you can’t do, like engage in hacking or send spam email.

As a domain name registry, we only have access to the public registration information and DNS records for a domain name. I found some sexually explicit photos and videos of children on a .ストア site. Where can I report that?

We cannot make decisions about what constitutes child sexual exploitation. If you are in the United States, please submit a report of sexually explicit material involving children to the CyberTipline at www.missingkids.org/cybertipline. If you are not located in the United States, please visit www.InHope.Org and click “make a report.” Once the proper agency in your country checks the image you provided, it will forward a notice to the web host or to us for action.

What is site builder service?

The Amazon Registry site builder service is a suite of website-building tools consisting of a selection of website templates, site hosting, and storage. The templates include access to a database of licensed images, illustrations, or photographs (“Images”) to use as you create and maintain your website.

What can I do with my 14-day site builder trial?

Amazon Registry offers a free 14-day trial period to try the site builder service as part of the domain purchase checkout experience. During the trial period, you may use the site builder service tools to build your website, but you cannot publish your website. You must upgrade to a paid monthly subscription of the site builder service to publish your website.

How do I upgrade my site builder subscription?

You can upgrade the site builder service to a paid monthly subscription by using one of the following options:

• From within the site builder service:
  1. Click on “Publish”
  2. Follow the instructions to purchase a monthly subscription.
• From within “Manage Your Subscriptions”:
  1. Click “Upgrade Subscription”

How do I manage my site builder service subscription?

You can view and manage your site builder service subscription from “Manage Your Subscriptions” in your account. Manage Your Subscriptions includes a list of all your domain and site builder subscriptions and their renewal dates. Select View or Edit Subscription to see all available options:

• Billing Information: Select Change next to your payment method to change the billing information for your subscription. You can switch to any payment method saved to your Amazon account.
• Auto-renew: Use the Auto-renew On/Off option to stop the recurring charge for your subscription before the renewal date. For more information, see ‘How can I turn auto-renew on/off,’ below.
• End Subscription: Select Cancel Subscription to end the subscription. For more information, go to How can I end my site builder subscription.

How can I turn auto-renew on/off?

You can turn auto-renew ON/OFF at any time from Manage Your Subscriptions in Your Account.

• To Turn Auto-renewal OFF:
  1. Go to Manage Your Subscriptions
  2. Select View or Edit Subscription

  4. Use the auto-renew on/off option to turn auto renew OFF

How can I end my subscription?

3. Select the End Subscription option and confirm

I accidentally ended my subscription. How can I restart my subscription?

Once you end your subscription, the action cannot be undone. After you end your subscription, you cannot restart/create a site builder subscription for that domain purchase. You’ll no longer be charged for the subscription, but can continue to access it until the end of your current billing period (renewal date).

How do I get a refund for my subscription?

We do not offer any refunds if you end your subscription. However, once you end your subscription you will still have access to the subscription through the end of your current paid billing period (renewal date).

I want to add site builder to previously purchased domain name. How do I do that?

Site builder subscription is currently exclusively available as part of the domain purchase at checkout. In order to subscribe to site builder, you will need to purchase a new domain. You cannot add a site builder subscription to your existing domain-only purchase.

I am an existing customer of the free site builder service. Can I upgrade to a site builder service subscription?

We do not support upgrading from the free site builder service to a paid site builder service subscription at this time. Site builder subscription is currently exclusively available as part of a new domain purchase at checkout.
